SARAJEVO, January 17 (FENA) - The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the majority votes adopted the budget of the FBiH for 2018, proposed by the FBiH Government in the amount of KM 2.88 billion KM.
In nominal terms, this is the largest adopted budget to date in the Federation of BiH.
In order for the budget to enter into force, it has to be passed in the House of Peoples, whose session is scheduled to take place on Friday.
Explaining the proposed budget to MPs in the House of Representatives at today's extraordinary session, Prime Minister Fadil Novalić said the budget contains significantly more planned allocations for capital investments, almost ten percent of the total amount, or 262 million KM.
The FBiH Finance Minister Jelka Milićević said that for the first time in ten years, there is no negative balance in the budget.
"We have always had deficits, and this is the first time that it is not the case,” said the minister .
