SARAJEVO, January 17 (FENA) – President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, who is on an official visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, met today with the High Representative for BiH Valentin Inzko.
Inzko said his meeting with the Croatian President was constructive, adding that the topics were economy and politics, and that they also mentioned the Election Law.
“As far as the Election Law is concerned, we informed President Grabar-Kitarović that the European Community and America were leading the dialogue with the parties, but that OHR also takes part in those talks,” said Mr. Inzko, adding that they are consulting on the electoral legislation with a Belgian expert in that field who visits the parties in BiH.
Mr. Inzko added that there were certain options but that it is too early to go into more detail on them.
“The most important thing is that there is political will. If there is a solution, no one will be completely satisfied,” he said.
As for the economy between BiH and Croatia, Mr. Inzko said that Croatia was the second largest investor in BiH after Austria.
“Croatia is also one of the biggest BiH’s trading partners, and the volume of trade between the two countries amounts to about four billion KM,” Mr. Inzko said after the meeting with Croatian President Grabar-Kitarović.
The meeting was held in the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
