BiH Court: Indictment confirmed in the case of Milomir Davidović

SARAJEVO, January 29 (FENA) - The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed, on 16 January 2018, an Indictment charging the accused Milomir Davidović with the commission of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity in violation of Article 172(1)(g), as read with Article 180(1) of the CC BiH.

The Indictment stated, inter alia, that over the period of time between 3 July 1992 and 18 July 1992, in the course of which the military, paramilitary and police forces of the so called Serb Republic of BiH, subsequently Republika Srpska, launched a widespread and systematic attack against the Bosniak civilian population of the Foča municipality, Milomir Davidović, as a member of the VRS, being aware of the attack and knowing that his acts formed part of the attack, acted in breach of the rules of international humanitarian law by violating the provisions of common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949, and in concert with other individuals, forced three Bosniak women into sexual intercourse, stated the BiH Court.
