SARAJEVO, January 30 (FENA) - Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Bosnia and Herzegovina Anders Hagelberg, with whom he discussed the current political and economic conditions in BiH with a special emphasis on the reform processes and fulfillment of the conditions for membership in the European Union and the NATO.
Mr. Zvizdić thanked the citizens and the Government of Sweden for the tremendous support they provided to Bosnians and Herzegovinians during the aggression and afterward.
He informed Mr. Hagelberg about the goals of the BiH Council of Ministers and the degree of completion of the responses to the Questionnaire that Bosnia and Herzegovina had received from the European Commission. They underlined the importance of further BiH activities toward integration into the European Union, as well as the interest to continue the joint cooperation of the two countries.
Mr. Zvizdić and Mr. Hagelberg also discussed the importance of environmental protection and agreed that air pollution was one of the biggest problems that need to be paid more attention. They expressed the view that much more could be done in this segment in order to protect and inform the citizens about the pollution and its harmfulness, in accordance with the European standards.
Both sides expressed their willingness to continue cooperation and for shared and united efforts to create solutions that would ensure a society with a sustainable environment protection in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the BiH CoM.
