MOSTAR/ SARAJEVO, Jan. 30 (FENA) – President of the Croatian Party of BiH, Bozo Skopljakovic, points out in the statement issued on Tuesday that he supports the assistance of the international community in BiH led by representatives of the European Commission, the United States, and the OHR, in seeking acceptable solutions regarding amendments to the Election Law of BiH.
People from the Party hold that individual proposals for changing the Election Law coming from some parties, as a result of election promises, were doomed to failure and disapproval of those who did not participate in the drafting of the proposals, says the statement.
It adds that it is necessary for all parliamentary parties to sit at table and work on a joint proposal to amend both this and other important laws so that positive progress can be made in the country over the coming period.
- As a President of the Croatian Party, I want and hope that I share the wish and optimism of the people and citizens of this country that the international community will persist in its proper efforts to offer a fair proposal for the Election Law ... International diplomacy, when adopting the Excise Law, has shown that it is neither futile nor helpless in BiH. It gives us even more hope that the action on changing the Election Law will yield the desired result and turn the state back to a more peaceful political life - says the statement issued by the Croatian Party of BiH, signed by the President of the Party, Bozo Skopljakovic.
