Matthew Field, the new British Ambassador to BiH, to take office in August

SARAJEVO, January 31 (FENA) - Matthew Field has been named the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Bosnia and Herzegovina and will succeed Edward Ferguson.

Field will take over his duty in August 2018, after Ferguson’s departure from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Since 2016, he has served as a senior advisor, head of the political department in the Office of the European Union Special Representative, stated the Embassy of the United Kingdom in BiH.

From 2012 to 2016, Field worked as a political advisor in Brasilia, and from 2010 to 2012 he was the Team Leader for Brazil, the Department for the US of the United Kingdom’s Foreign Office.

He was a political adviser to the Head of the EU delegation to Skopje from 2009 to 2012, while from 2006 to 2009 he was the Head of the EU Political Department in Zagreb.

For the past year, he held the position of resource manager in the Directorate for Europe at the UK Foreign Office.

Matthew Field is married to Martina Field-Klisović and he has two sons.
