MOSTAR/ NOVI TRAVNIK, Feb 6 (FENA) - The representative of the Japanese Embassy in BiH, Takayuki Kumakura, visited on Tuesday the municipality of Novi Travnik .
The reason for the visit was the monitoring of the project for construction and reconstruction of sports grounds in Novi Travnik, which the Government of Japan supported with KM 180.552.
Through this project, which was implemented in early 2016, among other things, basketball grounds, tennis court and trim tracks have been reconstructed and toilet facilities in the sports hall renovated.
Besides the visit to the reconstructed structures, a visit to the City Sports Hall followed, where the need to repair the infrastructure, primarily the roof that leaks, was discussed.
Assistant to the Chief Executive of Novi Travnik Municipality, Branko Brkan, has told Fena that there is a possibility for the Municipality to apply again for funds from the Japanese Government, adding that the announcement for applications will be open by the end of February.
- I hope we can apply for these funds. It would be primarily intended for the roof of the sports hall, and there are also problems with heating, doors and windows and lighting. The hall was built a long time ago and the time has taken its toll - Brkan said.
