Young ambassadors of reconciliation at USAID’s project event in Zvornik

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, February 11 (FENA) - A promotional event titled "What do you know about my town" in which young activists, participants of the USAID’s “re:Generation” project, promoted the tourism potentials, cultural heritage and natural beauties of their communities, was held in Zvornik yesterday.

Young ambassadors of reconciliation from 10 BiH communities (Brčko, Jajce, Doboj, Sanski Most, Zvornik, Drvar, Prijedor, Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje, Kotor Varoš, Stolac), are participants of the project “re:Generation” which primarily aims at advocating coexistence and reconciliation among all ethnic groups in BiH through film art and local activism.

Mario Mrkajić (27) from Zvornik came up with an idea for this project to promote reconciliation, with the goal of motivating his fellow citizens to get to know BiH cities and their beauties better and to expand their scope of friendships and interests to other parts of BiH.

The USAID “re:Generation” project, implemented by the International Republican Institute in BiH and the Magacin Kabare Association, aims to educate and motivate young people to promote the reconciliation and coexistence among the peoples, especially among the younger generations.
