SPLIT: VISOKO AWARDED CHARTER "FEST" FOR MERITS IN TOURISM |

SPLIT, October 15 (FENA) – By the decision of International Festival “Interstas” – European Club for Merits in Tourism, which took place in Split from October 11 to 14, the Charter “Fest” for merits in tourism was awarded to BiH town of Visoko.
Visoko Assistant Municipal mayor Fehim Memic said that the European Association of Tourism Journalists had nominated Visoko for this prestigious award.
“Through different programs, Visoko presented its tradition and culture at the Festival and we are very happy that the quality and diversity of our offer has been recognized”, Memic told Fena.
Within the presentation of the Visoko tourist offer, President of the Governing Board of the Archeological Park: Bosnian pyramid of the Sun Semir Osmanagic presented the Project of researching the Bosnian valley of the pyramids, which is one of the reasons why Visoko was awarded the Charter in the first place, said Visoko Municipal mayor Munib Alibegovic.
“The Charter is very important for Visoko and it certainly confirms the value of the Foundation’s archeological research. Approx. 200.000 foreign tourists visited our town this year and this fact speaks for itself”, stressed Alibegovic.
The Festival "Interstas" was organized under auspices of President of the Republic of Croatia Stjepan Mesic.
