SARAJEVO, July 29 (FENA) - Serb Delegates in the House of Peoples of PABiH Slobodan Saraba and Mladen Ivanic, whose stance regarding the law on census, which was the alleged reason for delegates of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) to boycott the session of House of Peoples today and thereby cause the lack of quorum, assessed it is the attempt of SNSD to put their interests above the interests of RS.
Saraba stated for the press that it is clear that SNSD was not ready for discussion and that the party wanted to put their interests above the interests of RS, and to make their interests seem like the RS’s interests.
”That is absolutely unacceptable. I would like to point out for Mr Dodik and Mrs Majkic that RS’ interests are not SNSD’s interests. RS’ interests are interests of all political parties which are coordinated at the end”, Saraba said.
He also pointed out that due to today’s boycott, the proposal of the law on alterations of the Law on Armed Forces was not considered today, which concerns 350 people from RS who expected for the issue of their livelyhood would be solved by its adoption today.
”Unfortunately, they were tricked today as well, which is another proof that SNSD is acting in an arrogant and inappropriate way in RS”, Saraba added.
Ivanic stated for the press that there is no decision of the National Assembly of RS regarding this law.
Instead of a decision, there is a stance of SNSD and the president of the government of RS. That is why Ivanic thinks that this is clearly about “pre-election story that SNSD has an intention of making in order to get the topic”.
”I do not have any attention to listen to SNSD’s stands only because they are an authority. I see no reason why this law would not be adopted and I still have not heard any argument why I should be against it. And to have someone interpret the opinion of SNSD as the opinion of RS, I would not think of it. That is a sheer stupidity”, Ivanic said.
