BANJA LUKA, February 18 (FENA) - President of Republika Srpska and SNSD Milorad Dodik stated that when he travels through Croatia he does not have to report to the competent institutions, and that when he is a member of the BiH Presidency he will not need the escort or protection of Croatia.

He added that when he goes to Croatia he does not carry weapon, nor he needs protection from police of that country.

“I do not need protection by Croatian police like Foreign Minister of BiH Igor Crnadak and Member of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić do. I do not feel safe with their protection and I believe that road from Banja Luka to Bijeljina to the border with Serbia will be built very soon and there will be no need to travel through Croatia,” stated Dodik in Banja Luka.

Dodik announced he would discuss the upcoming general elections with coalition partners in the upcoming period.

Croatian paper Jutarnji list reported that Dodik asked from bodies of the neighbor state to treat him as a state official during his visit to Croatia. However, they refused it, explaining he is not considered a state official in Croatia who would have a status of a protected person.
