MOSTAR, Feb 19 (FENA) – President of HDZ BiH, Dragan Covic, paid working visit to the HDZ BiH Stolac Municipal Board on Monday, where he met with the President of the Board, Stjepan Boskovic.
On the occasion, Boskovic summed up the developments in Stolac from the beginning of 2016 until repeated local elections on February 19, 2017, says the public statement issued by the Information Office of HDZ BiH.
Pointing out the difficult situation that Stolac eperienced, Boskovic expressed his thanks to President Covic for the support over that period, as well as his confidence that the joint acting had yielded the ultimate result.
"Our wish and plan is to continue the practice of good communication and support with the aim to complete the strategic projects in the Stolac municipality and to start new ones," Boskovic said.
On the occasion, Covic underlined important role of people in the field and support from all levels of government in order to achieve a specific goal for the benefit of all. He also expressed the conviction that this cooperation would continue even more intensively in Stolac.
Speaking about current political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Covic pointed out the party's commitment to civilized politics and the European way, adding that it is , "the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the country we live in, and on whose future we should decide just as everyone else" .
He added that it was crucial that legitimate representatives of the Croatian people were at all levels of government.
In a press statement after the meeting, Covic underscored that in the last 10 days he had paid visit to some cantonal and municipal boards of the party, adding that this in Stolac was the first in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, with the aim to, as the president of the party, present that what was being done on the higher level, as well as what was being planned for the upcoming October general elections.
"I presented a lot of information and wanted to hear from our people how they see some problems and how to preserve the status of a constituent people and how to ensure legitimate representation of our people, as in Stolac, at all levels of government ”, Covic said, says the statement.
