SDA: Any solution not in accordance with FBiH Constitution is unacceptable

SARAJEVO, February 23 (FENA) - The Party of Democratic Action (SDA) believes that any future solution regarding the appointment of the delegates from each canton must strictly respect the existing provisions of the Constitution of the Federation of BiH.

Therefore, the SDA appeals to the Central Election Commission of BiH (CEC) to immediately issue a statement in connection to the worrying information released by certain media regarding the alleged preparation of a decision which, in the manner contrary to the provisions of the Constitution of the Federation of BiH, determines the number of delegates elected to the House of Peoples of the Federation Parliament BiH from each constituent people and from other nations from the local assemblies from each of the cantons.

“It is absolutely unacceptable for the CEC BiH to make any decisions on the issue while there are ongoing talks to resolve this issue through the appropriate amendments to the Election Law of BiH,” stated the SDA Public Relations Office.

SDA also pointed out that any kind of solution that is not in accordance with the Constitution of the Federation of BiH is unacceptable.
