SARAJEVO, February 25 (FENA) – Ambassador of Japan to BiH Kazuya Ogawa finds that BiH is on a good path towards development and the European integration and that despite different structures that are obstructing that path there will be a successful period of progress.

Ambassador Ogawa's mandate in BiH is coming to an end and he summarized results of cooperation between BiH and Japan in his farewell interview with FENA.
He reminded that Japan invests in BiH and is one of the biggest donors on a bilateral level. Within different framework of assistance, general grant assistance, loans, technical cooperation and grants in area of culture, sport, Japan's assistance to BiH has amounted to over a billion euros over the past 20 years. This covers vital sectors such as primary health protection, education, demining, environmental protection and infrastructure.
"Even though bilateral cooperation between BiH and Japan is good, cooperation with FIPA will make it better and in a satisfactory capacity. Japan will continue helping BiH and contributing to social-economic development in all key sectors," said Ambassador Ogawa.
He finds it is a priority to solve the problem of air pollution and "Japan is ready to assist in this segment".
"Investing in better cooperation with countries of the region is a key to success," emphasized Ambassador Ogawa, whose mandate in BiH expires in March.
He believes that BiH also has great potential in tourism.
"BiH is a beautiful country and I am thankful to have had an opportunity to visit BiH and see its beauty. I cannot wait for the Trebevic Cable Car to start working and Japanese tourists cannot wait to visit BiH," he said.
Ogawa is taking over the duty as an ambassador in Algeria, whereas Hideyuki Sakamoto is taking over duty as ambassador of Japan to BiH in mid-March.
