Representatives of the military-diplomatic corps in BiH were informed about the current developments in the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH and the topics related to international activities within the NATO integration process, major activities and projects in the Ministry of Defense for 2018, personnel training, the issue of the Budget of MoD for this year and other current activities of the ministry.

She reminded that in spite of objective administrative, bureaucratic barriers, but also political obstacles, the process of registration of prospective military property has been intensified and "we have rounded off one phase of this process and reached a level at which it is objectively possible, having in mind the circumstances, to expect the NATO Headquarters and NATO member states to recognize and value what BiH has achieved so far.”

In the context of the upcoming challenges, Pendeš particularly emphasized the need to secure funds for multi-year projects and modernizing of the BiH AF, with priority being given to projects of improving helicopter capacities, assistance to civilian structures, transport capacities and pilot training program in accordance with the decisions of the Council of Ministers of BiH.

As the Minister of Defense, Pendeš concluded at the end of her address that she will do her best to ensure that professional standards, the integrity of individuals and the defense system as a whole remain key attributes of the Armed Forces of BiH, and that the Armed Forces remain out of reach of any political influence and particular goals, especially in this pre-election period, stated the BiH Ministry of Defense.
