SARAJEVO, February 26 (FENA) - Leader of the Response Movement, Ćamil Duraković believes that the pressure and messages of the BiH Presidency Chairman Dragan Čović and the BiH Presidency Member Mladen Ivanić regarding the rejection to sign the agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Islamic Community is a an act of utter discrimination.
He called on a member of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović to file an appeal to the Constitutional Court and request that the agreements with the Catholic Church and the Serbian Orthodox Church be annulled as they are discriminatory in relation to other religious communities.
“In terms of the procedures, the agreement with the IC did not require the approval of the BiH Presidency. However, since the self-proclaimed protectors of 'Bosniak interests' have led the Islamic Community into this position, it is time for them to go public and admit that they have done nothing in this regard. It is time for all the agreements to be annulled and that cooperation with religious communities is once again placed within the legal framework,” concluded Duraković.
