SARAJEVO, March 1 (FENA) - The Congress of the Bosniaks of the World (WBC) extended congratulations on the occasion of the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stating that the 1992 referendum confirmed that Bosnia and Herzegovina is very much loved by its citizens.
“It is well-known that a large number of Croats and a good number of Serbs voted for the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Although torn by horrible propaganda of hatred, the peoples showed their face and honor. Bosnia and Herzegovina back then was victorious with the most beautiful and greatest victory,” it is said in the congratulatory letter.
The Congress further stated that "those who wanted to demolish BiH knew that they could only succeed with war and terrible crimes".
“They knew that fear should be added to hatred. They chose the most primitive and the worst among them to push for their goals. But Bosnia and Herzegovina has survived. Crimes have been punished in international courts and have been called by their real name: aggression, genocide and crimes against humanity.
Today, the whole world knows that crimes were the strongest tool for the attempt to break apart BiH, because our homeland has survived thousands of years with tolerance, respect for its neighbors, respect for the other and the different.
It is a lie that the destroyers of Bosnia and Herzegovina wanted Yugoslavia. If they wanted Yugoslavia, they would have wanted to preserve Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was the heart and soul of the former common state. The war was led with the constant lies of the criminal regimes. Their successors still hide the truth from their citizens and the new generations,” it is said in the letter of the Congress of the Bosniaks of the World.
