MOSTAR, March 6 (FENA) – People from the Mostar City Committee of Our Party hold that today's trilateral meeting of the top functionaries of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia in Mostar is a great opportunity to point out that the place of the meeting, mainly due to political forces from the major cities of these three countries, is burdened with the greatest political problems in the region.
"Mostar is a city without local elections, without the agreement of major political parties about their own organization and the implementation of the ruling of the Constitutional Court. Although we will always seek an internal agreement on political progress as well as on this issue, it is important to underline that the power-holders in our country will not take such a big decision without green light from Zagreb and Belgrade. For this reason, today's meeting may be important for solving the Mostar election issue ", says the Chair of the Mostar City Committee of Our Party, Irma Baralija.
People from Our Party pointed out that Mostar should not be just a beautiful and symbolic set of political meetings of regional leaders, especially when the complexity of its political problem was well- known.
" Mostar should restore democracy, may the today's meeting be a step forward in that direction. An acceptable solution for Mostar will not be found until just numbers and maps are negotiated. Lives of citizens of Mostar must not come down to maths .In this regard, this is an excellent example in which the gentlemen who are meeting today need to show the breadth and true state politics, " Mrs Baralija concluded, says the statement issued by Our Party.
