SARAJEVO, March 7 (FENA) - Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Vjekoslav Bevanda said today in Sarajevo that the construction of the border crossing Bratunac - Ljubovija has not begun because the intergovernmental agreement between BiH and Serbia has not been signed yet.
He added that, according to the decision of the Council of Ministers of BiH, seven million KM have been allocated for the construction of this border crossing from the collected clearing debt, and the ITA BiH has been put in charge of the project on behalf of BiH.
“The ITA cannot do anything because an intergovernmental agreement has not been signed. We have submitted an initiative and now it is necessary to determine the category of the border crossing,” explained Bevanda.
He pointed out that proposal of the BiH side is for the crossing to be for goods and passengers, and after the agreement is signed, a public call will be announced to finalize the project.
