SARAJEVO, March 13 (FENA) - President of the Federation of BiH Marinko Čavara stated today tomorrow’s collegium of the FBiH Government would manage to bring closer their opposing views.

Čavara gave a statement after the meeting with representatives of the executive and legislative authorities in FBiH, who have not even been able to reach agreement today on further functioning of the authorities in the Federation of BiH.

On this occasion, Čavara suggested to all the participants that they must be ready for a compromise "without looking at who is the boss and who can give orders."

He expressed opinion that the problems related to the appointment of a new convocation of the Independent Committee have been resolved, which is in charge of appointing the Director and Deputy Director of the FBiH Police Administration.

In addition to the aforementioned appointment, he stressed that the talks were conducted in relation to the situation in the Development Bank Assembly, stating that the President of the Development Bank Assembly/FBiH PM Novalić has insisted on obtaining specific documents from the Supervisory Board of the Bank.

"It seems to me that this issue would be solved," Čavara said.

He also referred to the fact that the FBiH Prime Minister terminated the last session of the Government because of the appointment of the Director of the Tax Administration.

“I must say publically that the Government made a mistake because they announced a tender and conducted the procedure as if it was the procedure for a civil servant. That was not the case here. According to the Tax Administration Act, the FBiH finance minister proposes the appointment of directors and deputies of the Tax Administration directly to the government which then appoints them,” said Čavara.

Čavara also said that the discussions should be intensified in the Government and both Houses of the Parliament to ensure normal functioning of these institutions.
