SARAJEVO, March 15 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić received in the headquarters of the FBiH Government a delegation from the International Monetary Fund Sarajevo headed by Nadeem Ilahi, Head of the Mission of this international financial institution for BiH.
The mission is visiting BiH as part of regular consultations on economic developments and perspectives within the framework of policy discussions for concluding the second review of the Extended Fund Facility.
Mr. Novalić informed Mr. Ilahi about the key economic policy measures that the government has taken since the beginning of the mandate and currently and the prospects for taking new ones.
Among the most important measures, he stressed the necessity of adopting the Law on Taxes and Contributions and the Law on Income Tax.
He noted that growth of all structural parameters has been recorded and that the reform measures have yielded significant results but that with the general elections getting nearer, they are losing their intensity.
“I see significant progress in all fields. I am leaving this meeting full of hope and optimism,” said Mr. Ilahi.
The meeting was also attended by the IMF resident representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Francisco Parodi, stated the FBiH Government’s PR Office.
