SARAJEVO, March 21 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalić met today in the headquarters of the FBiH Government with the Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU Special Representative, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.
They discussed the results of the Reform Agenda, which they assessed as significant, as well as the remaining obligations arising from it.
Prime Minister Novalić outlined the areas in which certain regulations need to be adopted, notably the Law on Contributions and the Law on Income Tax, and expressed the belief that the new legislation will be adopted soon.
“The only thing left for us is to finish work in several areas identified in the Reform agenda, such as reducing parafiscal levies, improving the business environment for foreign investors, the rule of law, reforming public administration in which, thanks to the measures taken so far, significant financial savings have been achieved,” Mr. Novalić said.
Among the segments that need to be in the focus of the FBiH Government's activities, now and in the future, is the dynamization of works on Corridor Vc, for which significant funds are provided by the European Investment Bank.
The FBiH Prime Minister informed Ambassador Wigemark about concrete plans to continue the construction of that road, which links Budapest and Ploče and represents one of the most important road corridors in Central and Southeastern Europe.
The collocutors stressed the importance of activating the work of the FBiH Government and the need for unblocking the work of the FBiH Parliament, expressing hope and conviction that this issue would soon be solved.
The unavoidable topic of discussion was the path of Bosnia and Herzegovina toward the European Union, and Ambassador Wigemark repeated the unreserved support for bringing BiH closer to the European countries, the FBiH Public Relations Office stated.
