Milićević: We need to decide what kind of Development Bank we want (VIDEO)

SARAJEVO, March 27 (FENA) - The FBiH Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Jelka Milićević confirmed today to the press in Sarajevo that the FBiH Development Bank has certain problems in doing business.

“Since the beginning of the operation of the bank, we have not been able to fill all the positions in the bank’s bodies. This bank is not a tool in the development policy of the Government of the Federation of BiH. For these reasons, there were problems in convening the Assembly, in the work of the Supervisory Board and the Steering Board respectively. The bottom line is that we have to decide what kind of Development Bank we want,” Milićević said, commenting on whether this is being interpreted as "turmoil between HDZ BiH and SBB".

She argued that this was not true, pointing out that the international institutions that monitor the financial sector in the country have recognized the problems in the functioning of the Development Bank.

“One of the tasks put before the government is to promptly prepare a completely new law on the Development Bank,” said Milićević.
