Ivanić and Palmer discuss political and economic situation in BiH

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, April 3 (FENA) - BiH Presidency Member Mladen Ivanić received Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the United States for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Palmer.

The collocutors discussed general political and economic conditions in BiH, with a special emphasis on the ongoing activities concerning the amendments to the electoral legislation.

Mr. Ivanić stressed that he had a lot of reservations regarding the possibilities for reaching an agreement, primarily among the political representatives in the Federation of BiH. He also stressed that there was a real danger that, in the event of the failure to reach an agreement, BiH might find itself in a deep political crisis after the October elections, the BiH Presidency said.
