SARAJEVO, April 8 (FENA) - The Employment Support Project will last for the next four years and is expected to employ some 23,000 people in the Federation of BiH, among whom are young people, long-term unemployed, low-skilled people, people aged 40 and over, and socially vulnerable persons. Particular attention will be paid to the representation of women in each of these groups.

The Employment Support Project is being implemented with the assistance of the World Bank, which has allocated EUR 50 million for this purpose and it is implemented in the Federation of BiH through the Implementation Unit with the FBiH Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.

“The total amount of the loan is 50 million euros, of which 29 million euros will be allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a non-allocated portion that will be used for unforeseen expenses, told FENA the coordinator of the project in the Federation of BiH Nedžmina Vojniković.

The project will contribute to the key goals of the country that relate to stimulating employment in the private sector and reducing unemployment in BiH, as well as job creation by providing financial incentives for the promotion of formal employment in the private sector.

“This will help us achieve a dual goal, reduce poverty and promote common prosperity,” said Vojniković.
