Defense Minister Pendeš holds several meetings with officials in Brussels

SARAJEVO, April 9 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marina Pendeš, who is on an official visit to Brussels, met today with Director of the Crisis Management and Planning Directorate of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Gabor Iklody.

Pendeš emphasized the full commitment of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH to contributing to the integration processes.

She also pointed out that the EU "Althea" mission is an example of well-managed and successfully implemented stabilization mission, which is not inherently a peacekeeping mission.

Also, during her visit to Brussels, Pendeš held a working meeting with Dutch Ambassador to NATO Marian de Kwaassteniet and French Ambassador to NATO Helena Duchene.

Pendeš highlighted the great importance of the EU and NATO integration processes for BiH, and in this context the importance of the MAP activation and the implementation of the Annual National Program (ANP).

Representatives of BiH Mission to NATO, Ambassador Almir Džuvo, and Head of the Military Part of the BiH Mission to NATO, Brigadier Jasmin Čajić, also attended the meetings in Brussels.

Pendeš Pendeš will tomorrow meet with Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy (PASP), Alejandro Alvarogonzalez, and with Ambassador of Spain to NATO Nicolas Pascual de la Parte.
