SERDA - Certificates for 17 mentors educated with support of JICA

SARAJEVO, April 24 (FENA) - In the framework of the project "Establishment and Promotion of Mentoring Service for Small and Medium Enterprises in Western Balkans" - Phase 2, implemented with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), certificates were handed to 17 new mentors who will provide free mentoring support to small and medium enterprises in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The certificates were presented by FBiH Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Amir Zukić, JICA Team Representative Chine Koga and Director of Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA Ševkija Okerić.

According to SERDA, trained mentors were nominated from the Tešanj Development Agency, the Zavidovići Development Agency, ALDI Goražde, the Una-Sana Canton Development Agency, the Žepče Development Agency, INTERA Mostar and the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA.

The mentoring program is a new form of support for small and medium enterprises, based on the experience of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The free mentoring program involves 50 hours of mentoring processes over a period of six months, which are distributed evenly and in the most optimal way, based on the established diagnosis and state of the needs of companies as mentoring service users.

The project "Establishment and Promotion of Mentoring Service for Small and Medium Enterprises in Western Balkans" - Phase 2, is a three-year project of regional character and is implemented in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia.

The FBiH Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts and the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA are also involved in the implementation of the project, the statement reads.
