SARAJEVO, May 8 (FENA) - Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić met today with the Head of the IMF Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina Nadeem Ilahi to discuss the implementation of previously agreed measures under the second review of the Extended Fund Facility Program between BiH and the IMF.
Zvizdić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina has continued to make progress in reducing internal and external imbalances.
He added that the authorities at all levels are implementing structural reforms and economic policies within the program with the IMF, including maintaining fiscal discipline, financial stability and improving the business climate.
Head of the IMF Mission, Ilahi stressed that it is important for the authorities to continue addressing the problem of structural shortcomings while maintaining economic and financial stability, and that the IMF is always ready to provide the necessary technical assistance.
The meeting was also attended by the Resident Representative of the IMF in BiH, Francisco Parodi.
A meeting with the IMF delegation, as well as the session of the Fiscal Council of BiH, will be held by the end of this month in order to define future measures and activities related to the Letter of Intent within the framework of the arrangement with the IMF, stated the BiH Council of Ministers.
