SARAJEVO, May 9 (FENA) - The BiH Defense Minister Marina Pendeš and her associates received today a delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by General Mayor Ali Ibrahim Al-Fawaz.
In addition to General Al-Fawaz, the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also included Brigadier General Hussein Ali Dammas, Brigadier General Muhammad Al Askar and Brigadiers Yousuf A. Al Tassan and Muhammed A. Al Tuwaijiri, as well as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bosnia and Herzegovina Hania Abdullah M. Mominah.
Minister Pendeš especially thanked for the support of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the BiH Ministry of Defense, with an emphasis on a donation of nearly USD 1 million to be used in the process of resolving surplus weapons and ammunition and further strengthening of the BiH Armed Forces and storage safety, all within the existing projects being implemented under the auspices of the UN Development Program (UNDP) and the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
General Al Fawaz thanked Minister Pendeš for her time and reception and expressed satisfaction with the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to continue expanding cooperation in the field of defense, as well as to establish and expand mutual cooperation in many other areas such as economy, tourism, culture, and especially in the field of military industry, stated the Public Relations Office of the MoD BiH.
