BRATUNAC, May 11 (FENA) - Family members, survivors, representatives of Majlis of Bratunac Islamic Community, Association of Concentration Camp Survivors of Bratunac, Association "Women of Podrinje" and Association for Sustainable Return and Merhamet laid flowers at the city stadium in Bratunac and gym of the elementary school Branko Radičević, where Bosniaks of Bratunac were imprisoned, to honor the innocent victims and mark 26th anniversary of murder of Bosniaks in this city.
After that they went to the Ljubovija Bridge and threw 603 roses in river Drina for murdered residents of Bratunac and they also visited mass grave in Redžići.
One of the survivors is president of Bratunac Association of Concentration Camp Survivors Sakib Ahmetović, who remembered horrific images from this camp today.
"No one has answered for this camp and these crimes," said Ahmetović.
Vice President of RS Ramiz Salkić also attended the event.
He said he hopes that criminals will be punished and that survivors are here to remind and warn.
President of Association "Women of Podrinje“ Šuhra Sinanović said they threw red roses in river Drina.
"We are searching for 280 missing persons from 1992. So far 303 persons have been buried at Veljaci cemetery," said Sinanović.
