Islamic Community in BiH condemns the massacre in Gaza

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 15 (FENA) - The Islamic Community in BiH has strongly condemned the brutal massacre of demonstrators in Gaza.

“It is unthinkable that you would use such excessive force against unarmed demonstrators as we have witnessed yesterday and that all this is happening without any reaction from the international community,” said the Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH.

“Residents of Gaza who are living in a large concentration camp are now being denied the right to peacefully protest the fate they are in. It is unacceptable to see such violent attempts to deny them the right to seek a peaceful return to their homeland they inhabited for centuries from which they were expelled.

The least we can do is to raise our voice against force being the only argument for those who do not respect any international or ethical standards,” said the Islamic Community in BiH.

In solidarity with the Palestinian people, and according to the instructions of Raisu-l-ulama of the IC in BiH, Hussein effendi Kavazović, the mosques in BiH, on Friday after the main prayer will also hold a funeral prayer in absence of the victims of the massacre in Gaza.
