MOSTAR, May 18 (FENA) - The agreement for the construction of the motorway section Mostar South-Počitelj, subsection Buna-Počitelj was signed in Mostar on Friday, and the total value of the agreement is 25,692,383.53 euros.
The agreement was signed by Managing Director of the FBiH Motorways Adnan Terzić, General Manager of Hering, Široki Brijeg, Ladislav Bevanda and FBiH Minister of Transport and Communications Denis Lasić.
Terzić said that the Buna-Počitelj subsection is 7.2 kilometers long and is part of the motorway section on the 5C Corridor, Mostar South-Počitelj.
The funds were secured through the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The deadline for the completion of works is 18 months.
He expressed satisfaction to have an opportunity to sign the first agreement on the continuation of the construction of the 5C Corridor after the adoption of the Law on Excise Tax, because, as he pointed, last year the construction works stopped thanks to the fact that the said law was not adopted.
Minister Lasić said he was happy that the agreement for the construction of the 5C Corridor in the Herzegovina region was finally signed.
“We have had certain blockades, especially with the tender procedure for the Počitelj-Zvirovići section. I hope that Herzegovina will become a large construction site, especially in terms of the 5C Corridor,” said Lasić.
Terzić pointed out that they expect to announce the tender for the Počitelj-Zvirovići section by mid-June and that they are currently working on the evaluation of the tender documentation.
