SREBRENICA, May 21 (FENA) - The anti-hate coalitions of Srebrenica and Bratunac, with the support of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, marked today in Bratunac the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

At the Bratunac Cultural Center, an exhibition titled "Bratunac and Srebrenica through History" was opened on that occasion, showing old photographs of these two towns and folk costumes from this region with the aim of promoting and preserving the common cultural heritage.

“Today's exhibition should show us how all the diversities that merge into one community make a great asset. This is an opportunity to see Bratunac and Srebrenica the way they once were. The second part of the exhibition speaks of women who left a trail in the history of Bratunac and Srebrenica with their activism, the struggle for rights,” Stojanka Tešić of the "Women's Forum Bratunac" said.

OSCE representative Darko Dragutinović said that people must connect with each other and that culture is one of the ways to achieve this.

“We supported today's exhibition aimed at promoting tolerance and cultural diversity. This is a way to connect people. Culture exists to connect people,” Mr. Dragutinović said.
