SARAJEVO, May 29 (FENA) - Exhibition of works in calligraphy, illumination, intarsia and other artworks by three prominent artists from Iran opened at the Hanikah of Gazi Husrev-bey's Madrasah in Sarajevo last night, within the "Days of Qur'an".
Authors of these works of art are Said Reza Kamrani, university professor and calligraphy lecturer in various education centers, Mohsen Agamiri, also a university professor and head of Art Department at the Iranian University of Applied Science and Golamali Etminani Gasrodasti, a professor at Payame Noor University.
"Days of Qur'an" is organized by the Cultural Center at the Iranian Embassy to BiH in cooperation with Riyasat of the Islamic Community in BiH and Mostar Muftiyat.
It is being held for the third time in BiH on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, May 24-31.
Culture Consul at the Iranian Embassy to BiH Ali Ameri said at the opening that month of Ramadan is an opportunity to deepen the knowledge on Qur'an, the holy book that leads to salvation.
Opening ceremony was also attended by Director of Gazi Husrev-bey's Library in Sarajevo Osman Lavić and former BiH ambassador Hajrudin Somun.
Event "Days of Qur'an“ is organized within exchange of cultures of BiH and Iran.
