SARAJEVO, May 31 (FENA) – Director of the Center for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of FBiH Arben Murtezić and Microsoft BiH Director Omar Krivošija signed today in Sarajevo the Memorandum on Cooperation regarding the training of judicial office holders in the field of promotion of cyber protection and the fight against cyber crime through the use of modern technologies.
Emphasizing the importance of computer security, Mr. Murtezić said that cyber crime inflicted great economic damage on the economy and citizens throughout the world.
„Cyber crime does not bypass Bosnia and Herzegovina and the number of cases reported increases year-by-year, however, it is still minimal compared to what we are certain is happening on the ground. In other words, we think that there are far more cases of criminal offenses committed in this field than what is reported in total,“ Mr. Murtezić added.
The cooperation agreement, he said, is a kind of an example of public-private partnership that has been recognized worldwide as extremely important in various segments, especially when it comes to computer security.
"Signing of this memorandum is one of the steps concerning the institutions at the level of the Federation of BiH," Mr. Krivošija said, adding that Microsoft Corporation has a special center for the fight against cyber crime and can certainly help all governments in the world when it comes to cyber security.
