ŠIROKI BRIJEG, June 5 (FENA) - Representatives of the Swiss Embassy in BiH visited Mostar on Tuesday, where they held a meeting on the tourism sector with representatives of the Regional Development Agency for Herzegovina REDAH.
The hosts held a presentation on the project of establishing a new market solution in the tourism sector in the Herzegovina region, as well as the feasibility study and the economic impact of attracting a low-cost airline company to operate from the Mostar Airport.
The partner of the project is the Office for European Integration of the West Herzegovina Canton (WHC), which focuses on intensive development of tourism, with emphasis on rural and active tourism.
The project is supported by the Swiss Government within the MarketMakers Program, encouraging the growth of private sector, which will lead to the creation of new jobs for young people.
One of the selected sectors is tourism, which is a constantly growing economic branch in the country and the region, with many business opportunities.
