SPLIT/SARAJEVO, June 10 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH, Vjekoslav Bevanda, met today with Croatian Finance Minister Zdravko Marić, who hosted this year's meeting of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), held in Split.
Bevanda and Marić assessed at their bilateral meeting that the two countries have traditionally good relations in the sectors they lead and that every opportunity should be used to further improve them, especially in the field of economy.
The two pointed out that regional cooperation can bring a lot of benefits for BiH, which has embarked on its European path, where Croatia, as a member of the European Union, could provide a strong support.
The interlocutors agreed that cooperation in the financial sector should continue as it has been successful so far and that new trends should be introduced that were discussed at the annual meeting of the Constituent Group of the WB and IMF in Split.
At the Constituent Group meeting, attended by governors and finance ministers from 15 countries, Deputy Chairman of the World Bank Group for Europe and Central Asia Cyril Muller, IMF and World Bank Executive Directors Anthony de Lannoy and Frank Heemskerk also addressed the participants of the meeting, stated the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.
