SARAJEVO, July 3 (FENA) - Members of the BiH Presidency received Chairman of the U.S. Helsinki Commission and Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Senator Roger Wicker.
Members of the BiH Presidency welcomed Senator Wicker and representatives in the U.S. Congress and they confirmed friendly relations between BiH and the USA.
They thanked him for the proactive role of the USA in establishing peace in BiH and creating a democratic and stable country.
Senator Wicker said the USA remains committed to preservation of peace and security and they plan to work with the European partners on promotion of human rights and democracy.
They agreed that bilateral relations between BiH and the USA are friendly and stable.
They emphasized progress BiH has made on its European path and the need to continue fight against corruption, strengthening of rule of law, which will directly affect development of economy and stop young people from leaving the country.
They also talked about the growing problem of migrations in territory of BiH and need to supress illegal migrations.
Meeting was also attended by the U.S. Ambassador to BiH Maureen Cormack, representatives in the House of Representatives of the U.S. Congress Ryan Costello, Eddie Bernice Johnson, Luke Messer, Mark Sanford, Steve Cohen, Billy Long, Filemon Vela and Robert Aderholt, Presidency of BiH stated .
