SARAJEVO, July 18 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović received today British Ambassador Edward Ferguson in a farewell visit.
The two officials concluded that the bilateral relations between BiH and the UK are very good.
Ambassador Ferguson emphasized that, despite Brexit, the presence of Great Britain in BiH and the region will continue to be significant.
They exchanged opinions on the ongoing situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with agreement that the economic development and the implementation of reforms on BiH's path towards Euro-Atlantic integration should be the priorities in the forthcoming period.
Ambassador Ferguson expressed satisfaction with the visible positive reform and economic indicators in BiH, despite political crises.
Chairman Izetbegović thanked Ferguson for his four-year engagement in BiH, and especially for the contribution to the implementation of the British-German initiative, which resulted in the acceleration of the reform processes in BiH, stated the BiH Presidency.
