SARAJEVO, July 22 (FENA) – Priority of my mission is activating policy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to continue cooperation and support to BiH on political and economic level. Kingdom will continue supporting sovereignty and stability of BiH because co-existence of different religions and nations in BiH is a unique experience and proof of tolerance of Bosnian people in accepting others and because stability of BiH is important to all states of the world, said Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to BiH Hani bin Abdullah Mominah.

He said in his interview with FENA that indicator of intensified support to BiH, in political and economic sense, is also the recent visit of Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, president of the General Committee of Kingdom of  Saudi Arabia for tourism and cultural heritage.

Ambassador Mominah reminded that Prince Sultan Al-Saud came in official visit to BiH after instructions of King Selman Al-Saud, as he said, to monitor development of relations.

“His Excellency Prince Sultan Al Saud announced significant investments in BiH and pointed to great friendship that connects the Kingdom and BiH,” emphasized Ambassador Mominah.

Words are followed by actions, and Ambassador Mominah reminded that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been providing assistance and support to people of BiH.

“There is a mutual will and desire on the official level to enhance brotherly relations between Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and BiH,” emphasized the ambassador.

He added they expect Agreement on Investment Protection to be signed soon, which will surely lead to enhancement of economic relations between the two states.

“However, volume of trade exchange between the two states is still low, and it can be enhanced by putting an effort so exporters and importers learn about trade opportunities,” underlined Mominah.

When it comes to agreements towards improving economic and investment cooperation, he said that some agreements are already completed and ready for signing: Agreement on avoidance of double taxation, favorable loan for financing project of construction and equipping several hospitals and health centers in the city of Mostar worth 19.5 million euros, and favorable loans for financing projects of improvement of infrastructure in area of Stari Grad municipality in Sarajevo amounting to eight million euros.

Ambassador Mominah also reminded of recently signed cooperation agreements: Agreement on forming a joint council of businessmen of the two states and Financing Letter amounting to 940.000 U.S. dollars based on which the Kingdom will finance completion of works for storing of ammunition of Armed Forces of BiH "Krupa“ in Hadžići.

“My state supports everything Bosnians and Herzegovinians agree on in BiH, from reforms to membership in the EU and it is always directed towards enhancing relations in all areas,” concluded Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to BiH Hani bin Abdullah Mominah in his interview with FENA.
