SARAJEVO, August 15 (FENA) - Victims of war in BiH have been under constant pressure and attacks by the system in Republika Srpska since 1992. In this entity, war crimes were are still being denied, even though they had been proven in the proceedings before the Hague Tribunal and other courts , and that continues to this today, told FENA President of the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide Murat Tahirović.

Commenting on yesterday's dismissal of the Srebrenica Commission Report from 2004 in the RS National Assembly, Tahirović emphasizes that this is nothing new and that the goal is to completely dehumanize and demonize the victims, Bosniaks, but also all the others.

“Unfortunately, that is the meaning of the burden of victim and we have to live with it in the future. It is necessary to persistently point out certain facts that have been actually before the courts and by experts, and one of them is the fact that genocide was committed in Srebrenica,” said Tahirović.

He pointed out that genocide could not have been committed by a group of disorganized people and that “it was all executed in a very systemic manner”.

“The report made by the Commission appointed by the RS Government in 2004 was just one attempt, one sign of good will among some individuals to do so. Unfortunately, those that deny war crimes are doing it by using the politics and are doing it in continuity and this behavior will probably last until some new people emerge who will be aware of the facts, and be ready to finally accept them,” stressed Tahirović.
