SARAJEVO, October 3 (FENA) - Presidents of the most influential associations that gather women entrepreneurs in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed an agreement in Sarajevo today on cooperation aimed at encouraging women to a greater entrepreneurial engagement.
The mission of this regional initiative, unique not only in Southeast Europe, but also in the world, is primarily the cooperation among women in the entrepreneurship from four countries - BiH, Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia.
Adisa Tufo from the BiH association ''Poduzetnice IN', said that women are much less represented in entrepreneurship than they should be.
“Women are underrepresented wherever you go, in large companies, in politics, in the Steering Committees. The mission of this regional initiative is, first and foremost, cooperation among women in entrepreneurship,” stressed Tufo.
Sanela Dropulić, owner and director of the company 'Ekspert produkt' from Zaprešić (Croatia), pointed out that today at this event, we had a chance to see that four mothers, four wives, can be successful entrepreneurs.
She said that she was really happy to see that there are more and more women entrepreneurs in BiH.
These non-governmental organizations from the four Southeast European countries gather more than five thousand women entrepreneurs, who are owners of companies and crafts, as well as those who are thinking about going into entrepreneurship and are actively working to achieve their business plans.
