SARAJEVO, October 7 (FENA) - General Elections are being held in BiH today, where 3.352.933 registered citizens will vote and elect 518 mandate holders.

Citizens will elect three members of the BiH Presidency, deputies for the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH (42), House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament (98) and the National Assembly of RS (83), president and two vice presidents of RS and representatives in 10 cantonal assemblies.

Apart from polling stations in BiH, ten of them are formed abroad, at BiH embassies in Canberra, Vienna, Berlin, Oslo and Belgrade and general consulates of BiH in Chicago, Munich, Stuttgart and Frankfurt and Honorary Consulate in Graz.

Elections will be observed by around 6 500 international and local observers so there is no abuse of the election process, and municipal/city election commissions, 142 of them, accredited around 60 000 observers of political subjects.

“All the reports have been delivered to prosecutor offices and they will take actions under their jurisdictions and we expect their engagement even on the election day if necessary,” stated President of the CEC Branko Petrić earlier.

First press conference of the Central Election Commission of BiH is scheduled at 9 p.m., but CEC stated it will announce first preliminary, unofficial and incomplete results at midnight.
