Bevanda-Obrador: Necessary to remove obstacles in implementing KfW projects

SARAJEVO, October 24 (FENA) - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda received today the delegation of the German Development Bank (KfW), headed by the newly appointed Director for the Energy Sector for Southeast Europe, Pablo Obrador.

In addition to the inaugural visit, the meeting was an opportunity to discuss current problems in the implementation of some projects in the Federation of BiH.

The FBiH Finance Minister Jelka Milićević and associates also participated in the meeting.

Minister Bevanda emphasized that the cooperation between the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH, KfW and the German government is long-standing, extremely significant and successful and that they will seek to improve it within the competences of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.

The two sides also talked about the cancellation of certain projects, such as HPP Salakovac or implementation deadlines, such as the case with HPP Vrilo and HPP Janjići, which should be discussed with the final beneficiaries of loans, as well as with the representatives of the Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry of FBiH.

The meeting was also attended by Director of KfW Office in BiH Matthias Schmidt-Rosen and associates, stated the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.
