BANJA LUKA, November 7 (FENA) - Newly elected member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from RS, Milorad Dodik, said today that he stands behind the report that the entity of RS has submitted to the UN Security Council, in which his new colleague in the BiH Presidency, Šefik Džaferović, has been accused of alleged war crimes during the war in BiH.

Džaferović therefore sent a letter to the RS government and Prime Minister Željka Cvijanović in which he requested that the allegations contained in that report be denied within seven days, and that otherwise he would file a lawsuit.

Dodik said in a statement to the press today that this BiH entity “has the right to submit its own reports to the UN Security Council as one of the signatory parties to Annex 10 of the Dayton Agreement.”

He announced that RS would continue to submit its own reports to the Security Council.

Dodik also stated that "the fact that Džaferović has not been convicted does not mean he was not a witness to the crime".
