SARAJEVO, November 30 (FENA) - Cooperation in the region is possible, it can lead to positive changes - it was a message sent from a panel discussion "Connecting the Youth of the Western Balkans", which was organized in Sarajevo today by the EU Info Center, in cooperation with the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) and Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.

Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Khaldoun Sinno said the aim of today's panel discussion is to show opportunities to people, especially young people, when it comes to regional exchange.

"Our policy in this region, in BiH, is policy of connectivity, and I mean connectivity in the widest possible sense. So it is not only about bridges, roads, railways, it is about connectivity of people," emphasized Sinno.

Topics discussed today included projects of connecting young people, and Sinno noted that 34 projects were selected and that BiH participates in six of them.

He explained that within the projects, students from BiH can meet young people from the region, whether in BiH or in other places in the region.

"These new generations will lead BiH to the European Union. We expect a lot from them, but we need to give them resources so they are able to achieve that, and this is one way to do it," said Sinno.

He added this is only a small part of what they are doing, reminding that they sent five young civil servants from BiH for regional exchange a few days ago. He also mentioned "Erasmus +" Program, which is becoming more popular in BiH and managed to attract growing number of young people from BiH.

"This is not only about the EU approach, this is your country, you need to help so it works properly. It is not only responsibility of politicians or the administration or your parents, you can also give your contribution as young people," said Sinno, adding it is up to young people to build a future of this country.
