Cross-border cooperation Action Program BiH-Montenegro for 2018-2020 adopted

SARAJEVO, December 6 (FENA) - The European Commission adopted on 5 December 2018 the Cross-border cooperation Action Program Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro for the years 2018-2020.

With this program, the Commission is allocating €3.5 million to provide assistance for cross-border cooperation operations between Bosnia Herzegovina and Montenegro.

The aim of the program is to support socioeconomic development and strengthen neighborly relations in the cross border area through the implementation of cross-border cooperation operations actions.

The program will support actions in the fields of employment, labor mobility and social and cultural inclusion; environment, climate change adaptation and mitigation, risk prevention and management; tourism and cultural and natural heritage.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will also benefit from an additional €71.3 million in grants under the 2018 Annual Action Program, stated the EU Delegation to BiH.
