FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, December 10 (FENA) - A sustainable model for the management of packaging waste for plant protection products - CROCPA, which is being successfully implemented in Croatia, was presented today in Sarajevo.

It was pointed out that it is necessary to urgently develop an action plan in this area, since the improper disposal of used packaging of plant protection products significantly affects the environment and directly affects the health of people, plants and animals.

After the application of plant protection products, it is extremely important to treat the packaging in compliance with the criteria and goals of environmental and health protection of people and animals, which are becoming more and more important in the context of wider social awareness of the environment sustainability.

The presentation was held within the Business Climate and Market Improvement Project (ICAM), implemented by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group and financed by the Government of the United Kingdom.

The presentation was attended by representatives of institutions from all levels of government responsible for the disposal of packaging waste from plant protection products in BiH.
