SARAJEVO, December 12 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Marina Pendeš and her associates today received Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chen Bo, and the Military Envoy of the People's Republic of China to BiH, Brigadier Luo Tiefeng.
The two delegations talked about the current activities of the MoD and the Armed Forces of BiH, as well as on the continuation of cooperation.
They talked about the cooperation that took place so far, with special emphasis on last year's visit of the MoD BiH delegation to the PR China and the signed Agreement on military assistance for Bosnia and Herzegovina between the Ministry of Defense of BiH and the Ministry of Defense of the People's Republic of China.
The agreement was signed by Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to BiH and the Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendeš on December 6, 2017, referring to the military assistance of the People's Republic of China in the amount of 2.5 million KM. This donation will be realized through the delivery of specialized engineering and construction machinery for the needs of the BiH Armed Forces.
Pendeš also thanked for the assistance and overall contribution of PR China to the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, and expressed expectations for continuation of cooperation in this regard.
She also expressed gratitude for the support provided by the People's Republic of China to BiH in other areas, primarily in the field of economy and culture.
Ambassador Bo thanked for the reception and successful three-year cooperation with MoD and AF BiH, and assessed as important last year's visit by BiH delegation to PR China for the sake of fruitful future cooperation, stated the BiH Defense Ministry.
