Berton: BiH needs strong, transparent and independent judiciary

SARAJEVO, January 23 (FENA) - Head of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bruce Berton today welcomed the appointment of the new Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, Gordana Tadić.

“The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina welcomes the appointment of the new Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.

The Mission hopes that the Chief Prosecutor will commit to ensuring a strong, transparent, independent and effective judiciary in BiH capable of addressing the challenges to the country’s stability, including corruption.

The Mission remains a committed partner of the judicial institutions in this country, and supports their efforts in ensuring that justice is delivered fairly and efficiently,” stated Berton in a press release of the OSCE Mission to BiH.
